6-Word Wednesday!

My mom's hero...
Have I mentioned that I heart 6-Word Wednesday?

I really heart it a lot.

But today is bittersweet, because, sadly today is also the anniversary of my mom's death, and I hate this day.  So how does one remember without being sad?  Over the years I've learned to deal with it, and it's true when they say that time does ease the pain - but it never really goes away.  It feels only appropriate that there should be rain today... that's a good thing.  In fact, there really are a lot of good things.

But life will go on, always.

When there's memories, make them happy.

Laughter is key to all happiness.

Surround yourself with people you love <3

'This too shall pass,' she said.

Is there anything better than shopping?  (of course, she'd say...lets do lunch!)

I hope you have a wonderful 6-word day!

BFF's

For me, friendship doesn't get any better than this.  It's almost as if Lucy and Ethel were the couple and the husbands were the sidekicks.  They could do and say anything, get in all sorts of trouble, and there was never any judgement.  It was the first unconditional friendship on TV that I know of, and I vividly remember my mom loving this show.  She knew every episode, and made sure I did too.

The best part of friends for me is that I can be myself, and I know you'll laugh with me... or cry with me... or get angry too.  We all have our own problems, but sharing them with each other is a safe place.  Our husbands usually try to fix things or blame someone... but you guys?  You just listen, which is what we all want anyways.  I never get irritated with venting because I know I'll get a turn at some point.  We all do.

And then we giggle.

We prop each other up, give pep talks when needed, or simply just listen.  It's instinctive for us to know what the other one needs.

So, to all my friends reading this right now...  Thank you.  You have no idea how lonely life would be without you.

Have a fabulous weekend!
